New York, February 22, 2019 – This week, Nadim Malik, CEO of Sutton Place Strategies (SPS), participated in the panel, A Data Driven Industry: A Look at the Lower Middle Market, at the SBIA & AM&AA Deal Summit in Miami, Florida to discuss key trends in the lower middle market.

The panel examined the rise in valuations and PE fundraising, along with other market trends, to which Malik suggested the importance of deal sourcing in such a competitive market.  Using proprietary data and metrics tracked by SPS, he examined the challenge of sourcing deals considering the broad and ever-changing landscape of intermediaries, and how SPS’s Deal Origination Benchmark Report (DOBR) can be used by PE firms to evaluate market coverage and improve fund performance.

The panel was moderated by Graeme Frazier of Private Capital Research and GF Data Resources and included fellow panelists Nicholas Heinz, Mercer Capital; and Andy Jones, Private Equity Info.
