CEO of SPS, Nadim Malik, spoke at the webinar joined by three firms, including PE firms who’d achieved the “SPS Best-in-Class Deal Originator” designation and a prominent Investment Banker, to discuss how top originators are adapting to rapidly changing market conditions.

Malik discussed the overall state of the M&A market, drawing on SPS data to highlight trends in PE activity over the past several years across various sectors, deal types, and participants. He then juxtaposed that deal activity data against historical deal activity and EBITDA purchase multiples from prior recessionary periods. The conclusion being that COVID-19 related disruption will present great investing opportunities in the months and years ahead.
